I tillegg til bandene ønsker vi å skape en fet thrashopplevelse for alle som besøker festivalen, og det vil derfor bli thrash-dj'er som spiller før, mellom og etter bandene samt at vi på lørdag kjører Thrashquiz og visning av filmen "Get Thrashed: The story of thrashmetal" på dagtid.

DARKANE:
Formed in 1998, rose out of the ashes of Agretator. When Agretator became history, drummer Peter Wildoer and guitarist Christofer Malmström teamed up with fellow six stringer Klas Ideberg and bass player Jörgen Löfberg. This new outfit immediately began to crystallize a more aggressive, straight-forward sound, both technical and brutal. The combination of Peter Wildoer‘s unique drumming style and a steady flood-wave of blistering guitar work created an eerie feeling that can only be described as... Darkane!

After the addition of singer Andreas Sydow (who replaced Lawrence Mackrory who sang on the debut „Rusted Angel“ - an hyper-fast, technical Thrash opus!) the band released three other mind-boggling albums: „Insanity“ (the name says it all!), „Expanding Senses“, and “Layers of Lies”. Now, after three years of silence and the entering of new huge range vocalist Jens Broman, it is time to get even LOUDER!
„Demonic Art“, the fifth chapter in DARKANE‘s history will pierce your brain with 48 minutes of pure agressive, brutal, melodic, modern, skillful, technical, furious, fast, heavy and insane thrash metal. Darkane has developed in a way that will give them new fans as well, not meaning that they’ve turned softer or more mainstream... just better! Are you prepared?
SOULSCARRED:

Founded in 1998 by guitarist Chris Kolden, SoulScarred has gone through several line-up changes culminating in the present line-up. Their music is described as melodic thrashmetal with strong influences from the bay area metalscene of the 80’s.

As a liveband they deliver an uncompromising act filled with tons of energy and aggression. Twin guitars with fast harmonic riffs, backed by powerful bass and technical drumming drives the music forward, with raw aggressive vocals on top to bring it all together.

Their last EP “This game you’ll lose”, which was unleashed upon the world late 2007, has received lots of good reviews in the metal underground, and with it the band won the demo contest at the Inferno Metal festival in Oslo 2008. The band is a must-see for all metalfans out there. Prepare for a thrashmetal explosion!

IMBALANCE:

Imbalance fra Oslo spiller brutal og teknisk thrash/death metal. En blanding av old-school bay-area thrash og nyere inspirasjonskilder. Vi er for tiden i sluttfasen av innspilling av vår første fulllengdeutgivelse, og har fra før et knippe demoer og minicder på samvittigheten. Med det nye materialet tar bandet et solid skritt videre i sin musikalske utvikling, der kompleks, aggressiv, intens og ikke minst beinhard metal får rotfeste og den umiskjennelige Imbalance-sounden finner sin form.

Imbalance er foreløbig uten platekontrakt, og jobber for tiden med konkrete turnéplaner både i Norge og i utlandet.

INQUESTED:

We are Inquested, a four piece thrash metal band from Kongsberg, Norway.

In the early days we played around wanting to make a real band, and out of various projects the band Inquest was born in 2004. Under this name the band made a 3 track demo simply called "Inquested ep" (2005), which got a lot of positive reactions from the metal community.
Soon after the band changed name to Inquested, and started writing material for their upcoming debut album. The Red Chambers was released through a spanish company in April of 2008, and once again the reviews have been very positive.

At the moment the band is writing and rehearsing new material, booking gigs for the summer and fall of 2009. Our goal is to be able to do extensive touring and spread our music to as many people as possible.
Solid and tight live shows have always been very important to us, and we believe in the importance of delivering live, as well as on albums.

BLOOD TSUNAMI:

Blood Tsunami fra Oslo har trampa pedalen tvers gjennom gølvet siden starten i 2004 og deres siste utgivelse "Grand Feast For Vultures" har fått verdens metallpresse til å strø vilt om seg med lovord og uhemmet skryt.

Bandet består av ringrever og svinepelser som har mange arr og dundrende skallebank etter sin innsats i band som Emperor, Hellride og Brut Boogaloo, men som Blood Tsunami kliner de nådeløst til med perverst fet THRASH METAL ispedd en dødlig dose DM og NWOBHM. . Jepp, nå blir'e faen meg hælvette her! Møt opp og bæng skallen i fillebiter!

VIOLATED:

Violated startet opp I 2004 I Kristiansund, Norge. Bandet ble startet opp etter mange år I forskjellige band og trengte å starte et fullblown thrash band. Bay Area Style!
Med 2 demoer under beltet, “Bearing the weight of the world” (2005) og “reign of violence” (2006) og 2 kommende utgivelser; “Outbreak of metal volume II” Slaney Records (split) og “Only Death Awaits” Dublicate Records (debut) kommende nå iløpet av denne høsten.
